Finding Your Target Audience

When I'm finding your target audience, I sometimes hear (usually newer) business owners say "My target audience is everyone".
That couldn't be further from the truth. Nobody's target market is everyone unless you're selling the oxygen in the atmosphere and charging per breath.
All jokes aside, a quote I heard that has really stuck with me and builds off of yesterday's blog post (which you can read here) is ... "The Riches Are In The Niches"
The more dialed in you get on who you serve best, the more you can charge.
Lets look at a couple of examples...
Lets say for myself as a marketer I say "I sell websites and run facebook ads for businesses".
It's very broad and generic, and doesn't speak to a very specific type of person.
Another example... "I sell websites and run facebook ads for businesses doing over $3 Million in revenue per year"
This is a little bit better because it's more specific, but lets take it even further...
"I sell websites and run facebook ads for roofing companies doing over $3 Million in revenue per year"
This is much more specific than the first example, and the reason you're able to charge so much more for the final example versus the first one is because that specific Niche is what you are an EXPERT in and know how to get results in versus just any random business.
Practice figuring this out in the comments below...
Who is your target audience? Who do you serve best? Who will your product/service make the biggest impact on?
